PAMELA JAN WHITEHEAD McKEY
OCTOBER 26, 1946 - MARCH 7, 2010Pamela Jan McKey, 63, of Clute, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010, at her home. She was born October 26, 1946, in Texas City, Texas, to Harvey and Ouida Whitehead.
Pam touched the lives of countless children through her teaching career at Velasco Elementary, T. W. Ogg Elementary and, after her retirement, with The Boys and Girls Club. Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Severo Flores Garcia; step-mother, Martha Whitehead; daughter, Valerie Booth and husband, Marshall; step-daughters, Karrie Trevino and husband, Thomas, Irene Sanchez and husband, Edward, Christina Perez and husband, Marlo; son, Grady McKey and wife, Tracy; step-sons, J. R. Garcia and wife, Michelle, Tony Garcia and wife, Tammy, Severo Garcia, Jr., Simon Garcia and wife, Sylvia; sister, Saundra Jain and husband, Rakesh; brother, Willie Whitehead and wife, Vicky; grandchildren, Kaley and Kelsey McKey, Katie and Kellen Booth; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and step-sister, Gaynelle Backus.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Clute with Fr. Jim Lynes officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.
