JOYCE CUMMINGS HAMLET
MARCH 25, 1938 - JULY 13, 2010Joyce Cummings Hamlet, 72, of Clute, went to be her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, July 13, 2010. She was born March 25, 1938, in Livingston, Texas, to William Robert and Mabel Brown Cummings.
Joyce, better known as "The Avon Lady", sold avon products for 43 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clute for 59 years. She will dearly missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Floyd; daughters, Sharon Bohon and husband, Ronnie and Brenda Smith and husband, Tom; son, Robert Hamlet and wife, Donna; sisters, Bobbie Ellis and husband, Lonnie and Alma Stidman; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Lois Cummings Nelms.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Clute.
Interment will be at Restwood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute.
