JOHN HENRY HOELEWYN, SR.NOVEMBER 30, 1938 - OCTOBER 10, 2013
John Henry Hoelewyn, 74, of Angleton, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013, at his residence. He was born November 30, 1938, in Angleton, to Lester and Beulah Hoelewyn.
John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to spend time with his family, hunting and fishing. John loved to build numerous projects with his grandchildren and also loved his four-legged child, Chester.
He is survived by his children, Kathy Edwards and husband Charles of Angleton, Carolyn Campbell and husband, Billy of Streetman, Donna Nastoupil and husband, Jimmy of Edna, John Hoelewyn, Jr. and wife, Laura of Angleton and Eric Bleschke and wife, Leslie of Katy; two sisters, Beulah Ray Gilbreath of Conroe and Patricia Smith of Angleton; brother, Lester Ray (Chubby) Hoelewyn of Cord, Arkansas; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as other loving relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 40 years, Marilyn and wife of 14 years, Janice.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 14, 2013, at Stroud Funeral Home with Pastor Rod Coates officiating. Burial will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alton Berg, Danny Berg, Cody Berg, Bradley Berg, Cody Simmons and Joseph Quintanilla. Honorary pallbearers will be John Hoelewyn, III and Ethan Hoelewyn.
